Booking Terms & Conditions

We don’t like to have an ‘official’ contract – but we have learnt that it is helpful to clarify the details and that most guests feel more comfortable with this – so below are some of the few details that we need to make clear.

The maximum number of guests that are permitted to stay at Stone’s Throw are two.  We do not accept children or pets.

Provisional bookings may be made over the telephone or by email but will not be binding on either party.

The booking is not confirmed until a 50% deposit is received along with the signed booking form. If for any reason the booking cannot be confirmed by the owner, the deposit payment will be returned in full. Once the booking has been confirmed by the owner you are responsible for the whole of the rental amount for the holiday. You will receive an invoice to confirm the booking and advise when balance is due.

If the booking is made less than 6 weeks before the start date the whole payment is due.

Prices are for self-catering only and include electricity and water; bed linen; towels (not beach towels); use of kitchen equipment and some basic supplies as listed in welcome letter; cleaning on departure. VAT is not applicable.

We do not take a security deposit, but we do expect you to take care of the fixtures and fittings of Stone’s Throw.

Smoking is not permitted in the property.

Cancellation policy

If for any reason you have to cancel your holiday, you must advise us as soon as possible and confirm in writing.

If over 6 weeks to start date, we will retain your deposit.

If under 6 weeks to start date, we will retain your deposit and final payment.

We will, however, refund you if we are able to re-let the holiday, minus any difference in cost between your holiday and the new booking plus an administration fee of £75.

We strongly advise you to take out holiday travel insurance to cover cancellations.
